    Health Care Benefits

    The University of Toledo offers medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage to all employees working in permanent full time or part time positions (20 hours per work or higher). The University is self-insured for this coverage. Unmarried, dependent children are covered until the end of the calendar year they become 25 years of age.

    Effective Date: Eligible employees must sign up for benefits at the Benefits Office before they become effective. Coverage will not commence prior to the first day of the individual's appointment. Sign-up must occur within 31 days of date of hire.
