    The University of Toledo is committed to providing its employees a competitive, cost effective and innovative program of employee benefits. The benefits are reviewed periodically and, accordingly, are subject to change.

    The information contained in this home page summarizes only the main features of the University's benefit plans. If there are any discrepancies between this home page and the Plan itself, the actual provisions of the Plan will govern.


    Open Enrollment for 2008 (October 15 - November 15)

    Packets were mailed to home addresses.  Please contact the Benefits Department (x1470) if you have any questions or concerns.

     


    2008 IRS Plan Limits

    403(b) elective deferral dollar limit                        $15,500

    457 eligible plan maximum deferral limit                $15,500

    403(b) and 457 catch-up deferral                           $  5,000

                 (must be at least age 50)

     Employees who are on a nine-month appointment will have 18 deductions per calendar year, and 12 month employees will have 24 deductions per calendar year.  Deductions will begin on the pay date you indicate, if received within the payroll-processing deadline.


    2007 Contribution Rate Increase for OPERS and ARP members

    Retirement contribution rate increases will become effective January 1st, 2007 for both employees and employers participating in OPERS or Alternative Retirement Plans (401(A)). For more information, OPERS members may contact OPERS directly by calling 800.222.PERS. ARP participants may contact their ARP representative.

    Employee 10%
    Employer 14%
