Building Your Course


  1. files

    • Mouse over the Upload button to reveal options: Upload Files and Upload Packageupload
    • Click Multiple Files.
    • Drag and drop multiple files or folders into the area provided.

    • Once all the desired files/folders are added, click the Submit button

  • How do I move a file to another folder on the course site?
    • Select a file by clicking the checkbox in front of the name of the file.
    • Click the Move button.
    • Click the Browse button to select a destination folder.
    • Click the "radio" button in front of the folder you wish to move your file into and then click the Submit button.

  • I have uploaded multiple files onto my course. How do I add my syllabus (a Word or PDF file) on the course menu?
    • Click the + sign (Add Menu Item Button) and choose an item (Create Blank Page).

    • Enter a title in the name box – Syllabus.
    • Check the box for Available to Users, and click the Submit button.

    • Enter a brief description of the document in the Content field.
    • Click Browse Course Files to locate your syllabus.

    • Select the file by checking the box in front of the file.
    • Click the Submit button.
    • Select Give users Read access to this file only.
    • Choose Yes for Permit Users to view this content.
    • Click the Submit button.

  • I have NOT uploaded any files onto my course. How do I add my syllabus (a Word or PDF file) on the course menu?
    • Click the plus sign + (Add Menu Item) and choose an item (Create Blank Page).

    • Check the box for Available to Users, and click the Submit button.

    • Choose Yes for Permit Users to view this content.
    • Click the Submit button.

    • Enter a title in the name box, e.g. Lecture Notes.
    • Check the box for Available to Users, and click the Submit button.

  • I just created a content area – Lecture Notes. How do I add lecture one notes?
    • Click the content area you just added.
    • Mouse over Build Content
    • Click Item.

    • Enter a name for the item
    • Enter a description
    • Click browse course files.

    • Select the file by clicking the check box in front of it
    • Click the Submit button. The file selection window disappears
    • Click the Submit button.
