National Health Service Corps Scholarship (NHSC)

Students must be enrolled full-time in an accredited medical school and be U.S. citizens. Program participants incur one year of obligated service for each year of support. The minimum service obligation is two years. Participants are obligated to provide full-time clinical primary health care services to populations in federally-designated, high-priority HPSA's to which the National Health Service Corps will assign them (minimum service obligation is two years). Current scholarship benefits include twelve months of stipend for each year of support from July to June, tuition, required fees, books, supplies and equipment.
