The scholarship application for continuing students in the College of Engineering is currently available online at http://enrollmentservices.utoledo.edu/events/register.asp?event_id=3092. The application is completed and submitted online. Application deadline is January 31, 2013. Questions may be directed to Jon Pawlecki at jpawleck@eng.utoledo.edu.
Note: All need-based scholarships require that a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) be on file by April 1. College of Engineering Alumni Affiliate Scholarship
The Engineering Alumni Affiliate Scholarship is for engineering majors who will be attending The University of Toledo full-time or part-time for the 2013-2014 academic year. Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply. A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher is preferred. Applicants are to have a 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file in the Office of Student Financial Aid by February 28, 2013. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of financial need, academic merit, and community involvement. Esther Anderson Memorial Scholarship Scholarship for undergraduate students majoring in computer sciences. Scholarship based primarily on financial need, however, applicants must meet minimum academic requirements of a 2.5 GPA.
John B. Brandeberry Memorial Scholarship
Scholarships for sophomore, junior, or senior students majoring in Engineering. Based on financial need and academic achievement. Application deadline is January 31st.

Elmer R. and Gertrude M. Bringham Scholarship in Engineering
Recipients must be Engineering students. Criteria includes merit and need. Scholarship is renewable with a 3.3 GPA or higher. Application deadline is January 31st.

The Capacity in Design and Construction Engineering Scholarship Fund
Shall be incoming freshmen, qualified transfers or graduates from an accredited two-year associate of applied science degree program in engineering technology must be admitted to a bachelor of science in engineering or bachelor of science in engineering technology degree program. Shall be disadvantaged minority students with preference given to residents of the Toledo standard metropolitan area. Students must maintain a minimum 2.7 GPA.
College of Engineering Merit Scholarship Fund
Scholarship for an entering freshman in the College of Engineering who is qualified as an outstanding student. This scholarship is renewable until the student graduates, so long as the student maintains a 3.0 GPA.

CSX Diversity Scholarship
Recipients must be rising juniors or seniors at UT majoring in one of the following disciplines: mechanical, civil, industrial or electrical engineering. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Scholarship is not based on financial need. Diverse candidates are preferred. Students must show evidence of interest and aptitude in the railroad/transportation industry. Relevant work experience, student organization participation and leadership experience is requested. Eligible students will be required to submit a cover letter and two letters of recommendation.
Associate Dean’s Freshman Honor / Engineering Scholarship
Scholarships for entering freshmen with a declared major in Engineering. Students must have excelled in math and science and have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or better. Application deadline is January 31st.

Gary W. Driftmyer Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to electrical or mechanical engineering students at The University of Toledo. Award is based equally on need and merit. May be renewable.
Dunbar Mechanical, Inc., Scholarship Fund
Scholarship for sophomore, junior or senior Engineering students with preference given to Mechanical Engineering majors. Recipients must have graduated from a Northwest Ohio or Southeast Michigan high school with a preference given to students from Northwest Ohio. Students must have and maintain a GPA of 3.0. This scholarship is based on financial need including support of non-traditional students returning to complete a degree. Two equal scholarships awarded annually.

Electronic Concepts & Engineering, Inc. Scholarship Fund
Recipient must be enrolled in bachelor's program in the College of Engineering, majoring in Computer Science Engineering, or Electronic Engineering Technology. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Must b a U.S. citizen, with preference given to Ohio high school graduates. Scholarship is not renewable, however recipients may reapply provided they still meet the criteria.

Engineering Alumni Affiliate Scholarship
The recipients must be regularly enrolled full or part-time junior or senior students at The University of Toledo College of Engineering. Recipients must have demonstrated a 3.0 GPA and a need for financial assistance.

Scott Raymond Fetterman Memorial Scholarship Fund
Scholarship for a junior or senior in the College of Engineering, with preference given to Mechanical Engineering majors. Recipient must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Based on financial need. Application deadline is January 31st.

GEM Industrial Engineering Scholarship
Recipients shall be students in the College of Engineering with preference given to mechanical or Electrical Engineering majors. You must be a high school graduate from Northwest Ohio or Southeast Michigan. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required and demonstrate financial need. Award is renewable. Application deadline is January 31st.

Scholarship for an entering freshman with financial need and a minimum high school GPA of 3.2. Must be a graduate from a Sylvania high school and studying Engineering. Application deadline is January 31st.

Kenneth A. Harris Memorial Engineering Scholarship
Scholarship for UT students who are graduates of an Ohio high school and have a minimum GPA of 3.25. Applicants must have participated in a varsity sport in high school, with preference given to a student who lettered in a sport. Applicants must demonstrate community service and/or have held a student government position in high school. Applicants must have a declared major in engineering at UT. Scholarship is renewable for one additional year and is not need-based.

Robert W. Heyn Scholarship Fund
Scholarships for full-time undergraduate Engineering students. Based on financial need and academic achievement. Renewable as long as student maintains satisfactory scholastic achievement. Application deadline is January 31st.

Recipients shall be any female, minority student, or female international student, pursuing a degree in UT's College of Engineering in either mechanical or industrial engineering. Recipients must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Based on financial need.
Roland A. Lamley Scholarship Fund
Recipients shall be electrical engineering students at The University of Toledo. Must have a 2.5 GPA or higher and have financial need.
Manville Scholarship
Scholarships for sophomores, juniors, and seniors majoring in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering. Based on academic achievement and financial need. Application deadline is January 31st.

Mosser Construction, Inc., Endowed Scholarship Fund
Scholarship for entering freshmen with high school GPA's of 3.0 and an intent to major in Civil Engineering. Priority given to U.S. citizens who are residents of Ohio. Shall pay for in-state tuition and any necessary academic fees and books. Renewable as long as recipients maintain a 3.0 GPA & remain Civil Engineering majors in good standing. Pilkington-Libbey-Owens-Ford Co. Scholarship
Recipients must be students in the College of Engineering and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Not based on financial need. Renewable. Students must make contact with Pilkington-Libbey-Owens-Ford via letter of a college sponsored event.
Society of Plastic Engineers - Toledo Section Scholarship
Scholarship is for employees of a plastics-related company (in the plastic industry, such as resin supplier, converter, plastic-processing machine manufacturer, consultant to plastic industry, etc.) who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree to advance their career within the company or for undergraduate or graduate students at The University of Toledo who are pursuing a degree in either mechanical, industrial and manufacturing engineering or chemical and environmental engineering. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid or through the extent of the students' responsibility for paying for their own school expenses. Applicants must submit an essay describing their career paths or goals in the plastic industry, as well as contact information for two non-relative references.
SSOE Inc. CO-OP / Intern Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship is for students who have cooped or interned with SSOE.
SSOE, Inc. Minority and Female Scholarship Fund
Scholarship for entering freshmen with high school GPA of at least 3.5 and an intent to major in Engineering. Priority shall be given to minority and female graduates of greater Toledo area school systems and dependents of colleagues employed by SSOE Inc. Scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA and remains a major in good standing in the College of Engineering. Application deadline is January 31st.

David Turnbull Scholarship in Materials Science
Scholarship for graduate level students with majors in Physics, Chemistry, Geology, and/or Engineering who are pursuing a Materials Science option as part of their degree program. Award is based on academic and research excellence and not based on financial need. Renewable.

Dion Raftopoulos Bioengineering Scholarship Fund
Scholarship for an entering freshman to the department of Bioengineering in The University of Toledo's College of Engineering. The recipient will be the student with the highest high school GPA. Only students with a 3.5 or greater GPA on a 4.0 scale and a minimum score of 28 on the ACT exam or the equivalent SAT score will be considered.

Ewing Outstanding Junior Award
This scholarship is for a full-time Junior student (60-89.9 semester hours or 90-134.9 quarter hours earned) in the Computer Science and Engineering Program in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department. The award is based on high scholarship and University service and is not renewable. Recipient may be required to speak at one or more Alumni Association events during the course of the year. Applicants must have a 2010-11 Free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file in the Office of Student Financial Aid by June 1, 2010.

Technical Society of Toledo Scholarship
The Technical Society of Toledo, in 1979, established a series of six scholarships in support of students in the Engineering related fields. UCATC receives one of these annually (February) for a second year student working toward a degree in the physical sciences, the applied physical sciences or math. Awards based on merit (GPA of 3.3), work experience, student activities and a statement of career goals. Application deadline is January 31st.

The recipient must be an undergraduate A.S.M.E. student member in good academic standing with The University of Toledo at the time of submitted application. The recipient must be active in the various A.S.M.E. functions such as attendance at meetings, tours, and other events that A.S.M.E. participates in. The recipient's grade point average will be taken into account but the award places more value on the involvement of the student with A.S.M.E. rather than academic achievement. The recipient's involvement in other activities at The University of Toledo will also be taken into account: such as Pi Tau Sigma, Student Union Board, etc. The award is non-renewable. Students wishing to apply for the A.S.M.E. Award must submit an application by February 15th each year to the A.S.M.W. student section executive committee.

Russell Clare Perry Memorial Scholarship in Mechanical Engineering
Scholarship for full-time students who are entering freshmen majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Recipients must have maintained a high school GPA of 3.3 or higher. Scholarship may be renewable if recipients maintain a GPA which will qualify for graduation with honors from the College of Engineering and if they are making normal progress toward completion of their degree. Application deadline is January 31st.

Lynwood H. Porter Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship available to qualified incoming freshmen with the intention of entering the Mechanical Engineering field or a qualified student who has been admitted to Mechanical Engineering. Must complete 30 credit hours per academic year. Based on GPA. Preference given to students from the Toledo Public School District. Application deadline is January 31st.
