Livengood Scholarship
A decade ago the PT alumni of the MCO School of Allied Health Alumni Association established the Livengood Scholarship in honor of Robert Livengood, founder of the MCO physical therapy program. This scholarship is awarded each fall and is applied to the PT student's UTMCO tuition account This scholarship is based on financial need. Mr. Livengood and the Judith Herb College
of Education, Health Science and Human Service Alumni Affiliate Board believe that all physical therapy students demonstrate the academic and clinical excellence necessary to be competent and successful physical therapists by virtue of their acceptance into UTMCO’s rigorous program. The financial demands of the program due to the time spent in the classroom and in clinical rotations year round leave little time for work to earn money. It is for these reasons that we would like to reward a student who makes sacrifices and overcomes adverse conditions to finance his/her education. I strongly encourage you to apply for this scholarship. Please submit a written statement that demonstrates financial need or special circumstances that pertain to your ability to finance your PT education. Please identify other sources of financial assistance that do NOT need to be repaid (other scholarships, grants, sign-on bonuses, etc.) and the amount of each.
All written statements must be submitted by to: (please note deadline):The University of Toledo – Office of Alumni Relations, 2801 W. Bancroft Street - Mail Stop #301, Toledo, OH 43606-3328
