Binge Drinking: Blood Alcohol Level (B.A.L.)

    THE B.A.L.

Blood Alcohol Level: the percentage of alcohol that is in your body at one time bases on height, weight, gender, and most importantly the number of drinks that you have chosen to consume in one evening. So do you know what your BAL is or how the alcohol you are drinking is effecting your really?

    The BAL Breakdown

BAL .02% or .03%: Well hey now you are a little relaxed after a drink or two, maybe light headed, but still in control.

BAL .05% or .06%: Well lets say your not shy anymore and those around you now realize that the alcohol has now made you louder, more ready to take risks, pretty much emotional, but hey your good time is starting to find the control factor slipping away.

BAL .08% or .09%: Well now you can't talk without slurring words and maybe your balance is just not quite what is used to be. Oh yeah and all that fun is starting to become not quite clear as the senses of hearing and sight become dim. Now your control factor is gone and what overtakes it yes the at risk factor.

BAL .10% or .12%: Well hey by this point let say you have had a few to many drinks, but you can't remember drinking them anymore, your way out of control because your body is trying to overcompensate because your lost all your body is trying to overcompensate because you lost all your motor skills. Oh yeah the at risk factor lets say by this point your are a prime candidate for it preying on you.

BAL .14% or .17%: Well wow what a night you have had, but you'll never know it because you fell victim to the blackout a total memory loss because of alcohol. Now if you haven't gotten the black out yet its time to go to the hospital because the at risk factor oh yeah its now made you an injury waiting to happen because walking, talking and standing are now easier on a new born baby then they are on you.

BAL .20%: Well get ready its time to start vomiting because all those drinks you had to have a good time are about to come back up on you because hey just because you wanted to have a good time doesn't mean your stomach did. Now the at risk factor is just shot throught the roof because once you get done or begore you vomit its now time to experience confusion, disorientation, or just being dazed, but hey lets hope you back out then vomiting won't seem so bad.

BAL .25%: Well hey now your numb and most numb people don't really have a good time. All those important functions like thinking, walking, talking, or just knowing where you are, are gone and hey at this point your at risk to just about anything so remember being numb means being in the pathway of danger and becoming a victim.

BAL .30%: Well its been a fun night but its time to pass out and lets just hope you pass out in your own bed because by this point where you are and how you got there is something you have no control over. It's time to be a victim if you are in danger.

BAL .35%: Well what has started out as a fun night out just became a fun trip to the hospital because our old friend Mr. Alcohol poisoning just arrived and if he didn't get you, you now have probably stopped breathing, so one way or another its off to the emergency room.

BAL .40%: Well it?s off to the land of being in a coma, your heartbeat is slowing down, your breathing is slowing down, and your fun night just turned into a chance of you being dead. Not very fun sounding. It's time to think hey now was it all worth it? PROBABLY NOT.
