Healthy students achieve better academic success and increased productivity.
They also have a more enjoyable college experience. With this in mind,
the University of Toledo commissioned it's own S.W.A.T Team: Student Wellness
Awareness Team. The S.W.A.T. Team is a group of student leaders who facilitate
Fun, Dynamic, interactive educational programs on health and wellness
issues that affect college students.

These trained student leaders hold a National Certification from the BACCHUS & GAMMA Peer Education Network. The UT S.W.A.T. Team members also receive academic credit for serving in this leadership position.
Sexual Assault Education and Prevention Program (SAEPP)
The SAEPP sponsors many campus activities to educate and inform students about sexual assault issues.
Binge Drinking
In America today there are over 12 million people aged 19-24 who are enrolled in a University or College. Studies show that 89.9% of those young students drink alcohol with the majority being under the legal drinking age of 21 years old. Today alcohol has become such a dangerous element in our society and especially for our young people that we feel that by educating our young people about the cold hard facts of alcohol we can prevent our UT students from becoming another alcohol related statistic. This project has been funded by a grant from the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services.
