The University of Toledo has an open door admission policy. Although admission to the University of Toledo is open, acceptance into the Cardiovascular Program is competitive and occurs one time during the academic year for fall entry. Enrollment is limited due to the number of students who can be accommodated by the faculty and clinical facilities. At this time acceptance is limited to 10 students for echo and 8 for peripheral vascular.
Once admitted to the University, each student must file a separate application with the College Selective Admissions Committee for the Cardiovascular Technology Program identifying their interest in the non-invasive cardiovascular (echo) track or the non-invasive peripheral vascular track. The deadline for application is June 1st. Only individuals fully completing the application process will be considered (eg. completion of prerequisites, transfer credits, grade deletions, GPA). Applications are reviewed and students are notified in writing of acceptance into the program in early June.
There are minimum requirements to apply to the program. Meeting the minimum requirements DOES NOT GUARANTEE admission into the program. Preference will be given to individuals who demonstrate academic strength in the prerequisite coursework.
A written statement regarding selective admission criteria is available upon request from an academic advisor.
