The HIM lab is located in HH 2307 on the second floor of CHSHS. HIM students may request passcode entry from the Program Director, marie.janes@utoledo.edu. Please allow 48 hours for processing.
The lab contains Microsoft Office, SPSS, Microsoft Project 2003, 3M encoding software, and much more. The lab is recommended by the American Health Information Management Association and its accrediting body to ensure students have access to software programs used in healthcare. Students who live further than an hour away may request the loan of one of the 5 HIM laptops for use on a short term basis.
On occasion, the lab may be closed to accommodate tours and testing. Notification will be sent via the online UT email distribution list. Please make sure you have designated your preferred email address at myutaccount.utoledo.edu.
HIM students with passcodes have day/evening access to the HIM lab. Students using passcode entry must adhere to the HIM lab rules and regulation as set forth in the HIM Handbook and UT Student Handbook. Failure to do so will result in loss of passcode privileges. The HIM lab offers a wonderful opportunity for Northwest Ohio distance learning students to connect and socialize. Please utilize this wonderful resource.
