Finding Course Reserves

Finding Print or Electronic Reserve Materials

Using the search box below, you can search by either the course instructor's last name, or by the course number (for example, CHEM 1230 or Chemistry 1230.)

When you click on the instructor name or course number, you will see a list of available materials.
  • Items with *Click on Title for ELECTRONIC COPY* in the Format column are available electronically... you will be prompted for your name and ID number to access them.  Please see Using Electronic Reserves for more information about viewing and printing electronic reserves.
  • Items with a Call # are available from the Circulation or Service Desk for limited check out times (set by instructor).
  • For any additional assistance with reserves, you may contact the appropriate staff listed at the bottom of the Using Course Reserves page.

Permanent Reserves

Some items are placed on permanent reserve to allow access for limited time periods to popular items.  Two main collections at Carlson Library are

  • Test Preparation / Exam Guides - for practice tests and study guide to popular graduate and professional exams.
  • Style Manuals / Citation Manuals - for formatting your bibliographies and manuscripts.

For more information

More information on using course reserves can be found on the Using Course Reserves page.  Faculty members wishing to place items on reserve should consult the Faculty Course Reserves page.

Note about Online and Web-Assisted courses

Additional materials may be available for online and web-assisted courses and should be accessed from your WebCT course page.
