EXPERIENCE

Timothy comes to the department from a diverse background in spatial science, visual design and information technology. He currently serves as the department's webmaster, on-site cartographer, geospatial software support tech, and provides his geospatial expertise to a multitude of grant research projects through our GISAG Center.

Created, maintained, and administered Novell, MacOS, and Windows2000 servers.
Designed, created, and maintained interactive exhibits using customized software and specialized electronic components.
Advised, purchased, implemented, and maintained all IT and telephone technology for organization.
Provided technical support, training, and maintenance for employees using PC and Macintosh platforms.
Presented interactive demonstrations of science exhibits to children and school groups.

1997 Temporary Designer, Exhibit and Display Center, Inc.

Worked with design team to complete various projects in layout, illustration, drafting, and cartography.
Created maps for the Delaware and Lehigh Canal Visitor Center.

1996 Planning Internship, Toledo Lucas County Plan Commission.

Researched Toledo's history, architecture, and urban morphology to create the Toledo Neighborhood Guide.
Position required skill in writing, interpersonal communication, cartography, layout, and GIS.

1994-1996 Graphic Designer, The University of Toledo Office of Publications.

Duties included the design and layout of newsletters, brochures, class schedules, maps, posters, fliers, logos,
directories, and newspaper ads for The University of Toledo faculty, students, and staff.
Created the campus maps used in university publications.

1992-1994 Technical Services Coordinator, The University of Toledo Student Union Board.

Worked with professional touring companies to provide and operate professional sound and lighting equipment.
Scheduled, supervised, and trained tech crew of 4-6 people to install and operate technical equipment.
Contracted services to other student organizations for their campus events.
Typical shows ranged from theatrical productions, concerts, and films to lectures and political rallies.
Event hightlights include the National Shakespeare Company, Town meeting with Vice President Al Gore, and President Bill Clinton.
