In February 2009, she moved into her current role as Assistant Director of Annual Giving Programs for the Health Science Campus in the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Shumiala is responsible for managing all direct mail and e-solicitations for colleges affiliated with our Health Science Campus and for the University’s Medical Center. Currently, she is working toward her doctoral degree in Higher Education. Shumiala and her husband John, who is also a fellow Rocket, enjoy making a happy home for their two young daughters. Her interests include raising kind and respectable children, reading non-fiction, and healthy living.
