Dave has been involved with Rocket Athletics since he enrolled as a freshman at UT in the fall of 1989. He began as a student-manager for the Men's Basketball team and joined the athletic marketing staff as a graduate assistant in 1994. He served as a graduate assistant until December of 1996, at which time he joined the University Development staff as Development Officer for Special Projects. In September of 1997, Dave rejoined the Athletic Staff as Athletic Development Officer and was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in July of 2000. Dave is responsible for all aspects of fundraising for the athletic programs, including the Glass Bowl Stadium (suites, club seating, premium seating) and the annual giving program, The Rocket Fund, in addition to team, capital, and other fundraising projects. Dave also serves as the department's liaison to the Downtown Coaches Association, Varsity T Club, and other athletic booster groups. Dave holds two degrees from UT, a bachelor of Education (1994) and a Master of Business Administration (1997). In his free time, he enjoys golf, major league baseball, blackjack, poker and other card games. |
