    Director of Advancement Relations

    Department:  Recognition Societies, Donor Relations, Giving Clubs, Operations, Special Events

    Chris is responsible for donor stewardship and recognition programs, coordinating special events, office operations and campaign administrative coordination. She works closely with the vice president and associate vice president in developing strategic plans for university development and cultivation for major donors and external audiences. Chris has been at The University of Toledo since 1977 and joined the Institutional Advancement team in 1999. She previously worked in the President's Office for 20 years as assistant to four former university presidents. She has a Bachelor Degree in English, Sociology/Teacher Education from Adrian College, an Associate Degree in Administrative Office Technology and a Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration. Her hobbies and interests include hunting, fishing, gardening, planted aquariums, antiques, gourmet cooking and genealogy. Chris is also an expert on academic protocol, and is a workshop, seminar leader and consultant on the topics of presidential inaugurations, leadership, teamwork and office organization.
