Kris Theisen serves as the Major Gifts Officer for the College of Engineering. Prior to joining the Institutional Advancement team at the University of Toledo in 2012, she was the philanthropic services officer at the Toledo Community Foundation. Before working at the Toledo Community Foundation Kris was the Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Monroe County, Program Officer at the United Way of Monroe County and Executive Director at the Arc of Monroe County. Kris also worked as a legal assistant at Braunlich, Russow and Braunlich Law offices in Monroe.

Kris received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Toledo and Masters in Health Administration from Madonna University.

Kris is involved with Saint Mary Catholic Central High School in Monroe, Michigan, the Monroe Art and Beautification Committee, Monroe County Jennie Finch Softball Camp, a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Estate Planning Council, and the Society of Financial Service Professionals.

Kris and her spouse, Tim, are the parents of Philip and Jenelle who are both presently in college.
