The Mentoring Collaborative was created during the 2007- 2008 academic year.
- On November 01, 2007 the program launched its first sets of mentors/mentees with a reception in the Student Union and had a wonderful bonding experience. You can read about the event in the February 08, 2008 issue of UToday: Mentoring Collaborative forging bonds between students, community members.
- The program was established in the Office of the Provost under the direction of then vice provost, Dr. Carol Bresnahan. Now entering its fourth year, The Mentoring Collaborative has become a resource center for students, faculty, staff and community members to provide access to programs, services and vehicles of assistance available at the University.
- With The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences as our primary university partner, we have streamlined our focus to concentrate on mentor training and assessment efforts. The Mentoring Collaborative remains a campus wide ally to all colleges and university programs.
- The Mentoring Collaborative is led by Advisory Council Co-Chairs Dr. Leigh Chiarelott, Chair of Curriculum and Instruction and Sheila Doles, third year doctoral student in Curriculum and Instruction.
There are two ways to live your life,
one is as though nothing is a miracle, the other
is as though everything is a miracle.
