Mentoring News ______________________
Great Job For "Operation Christmas Child" on November 15th was a nice turnout and successful project. We wrapped 36 boxes this year to be delivered to kids around the world who might not otherwise get a Christmas gift. The Oasis Eatery donated pizza to feed the crew (Thanks John!!) The event was supported by The Mentoring Collaborative, Peer Networking Association, Student National Pharmaceutical Association, Association for the Advancement of African-American Women, UT College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science, and Student African American Brotherhood - You should be so proud of your efforts.
The Tom Joyner "Take A Loved One to The Doctor Day" on September 18th was a tremendous success with a record turn out at Scott High School. The Mentoring Collaborative, along with UT College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science provided service to the community with medication reviews, blood pressure testing and free flu shots. Pharmacy students gained valuable experience and IPPE credit while helping those who need these services.
