| International Students on Our Campus Are Extremely Valued. They: |
- create greater diversity in the student body;
- are an excellent resource for teaching our students about other countries and cultures;
- bring an enormous infusion of dollars into our community and University. "547,867 international students came to the U.S.A. to study in 2001. International Education contributes over $11 billion dollars to the U.S. economy." Open Doors, 2001. Based on this data, it is equivalent to $20,077.86 per student or $21,844,717.00 for the Toledo area.
- contribute to international amity and peace;
- help fill the need for college professors, researchers and scholars
