Community Pharmacy Residency Sites

Kroger Pharmacy

  • A supermarket chain pharmacy with new pharmacy designs containing patient care consultation areas to enhance pharmaceutical care services provided
  • Participates in established Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Programs that allow pharmacists to schedule and be reimbursed for clinical pharmacy services
  • Works with a patient's physician to address medical issues discovered during MTM appointments
  • Provides education and physician recommendations for employees of The Heinz Co. in Fremont, OH
  • Provides screenings for Kroger employees and patients
  • The resident will develop and initiate patient care programs within a supermarket chain community pharmacy setting when applicable.

Neighborhood Health Association

  • The Neighborhood Health Association (NHA) provides community support and health services for underserved individuals in the Toledo area.
  • Schedule and see patients in collaboration with NHA physicians through a Consult Agreement
  • Provide drug information support to NHA physicians and staff
  • The College of Pharmacy provides pharmacy services for the Neighborhood Health Association (including the Cordelia Martin Health Center).
