If you need assistance in making the transition from high school to college or from a community college to The University of Toledo, the African-American Student Enrichment Initiatives Office is here to help you.

The AASEIO offers academic, cultural, social, and personal support to help students succeed. The new office, which opened fall semester 2005, provides students increased access to:

• Academic advisers in their college
• Student leaders
• Mentorship programs
• New student orientation
• Leadership development
• Academic support services

The AASEIO is a key component of UT's First Year Experience (FYE) program and the Office of Multicultural Student Services in the Division of Student Affairs. The office will not only serve first year students, the AASEIO will follow students until they earn their undergraduate degree from The University of Toledo.
