Apple Tree Nursery School began in response to the need of University of Toledo students and faculty for quality and convenient child care.  Those first individuals who used the service defined what was needed and how it should be provided.  While the organization has grown tremendously since those first years, Apple Tree is still responsive to and governed by those who use the services.

Thus, it is the students, faculty, staff, and alumni who use or have used the facility who comprise the Board of Trustees, the administrative and policy making authority for Apple Tree Nursery School. The Board is the group legally, financially, and ethically responsible for the total operation and conduct of the organization.  The Board ensures that the organization is carrying out its mission in a manner that is ethical, effective, and fiscally accountable.

All meetings of the Board of Trustees are open to the public and parents are encouraged to attend.  Membership on the Board is determined through elections. Parents interested in joining the Board should contact the Director of Apple Tree.
