Donovan Nichols

Donovan Nichols
Assistant Dean for Student Involvement & Leadership

Donovan oversees the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership and the Levis Leadership UT program. He is the lead instructor for two first-year leadership classes (COUN-3380 & COUN-3390).

Favorite Involvement Experience: Being a Rocket...Levis Leadership UT, Christian Leadership Program, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Blue Key, YMCA Freshman Camp Counselor, RockeTHON (Dance Marathon) Overall Director, Student Government President, UT Board of Trustees Student Member, and Blue Crew Co-Founder.

Fun Fact:  Donovan became a national inspirational speaker in 2008, served on the Pay It Forward Foundation Board of Directors and served as the International Co-Coordinator for Pay It Forward Day, which is now celebrated in over 80 countries.

Sarah Yecke
Program Manager for Student Involvement

Sarah advises Campus Activities & Programming (CAP) and the Student Allocation Committee (SAC). She also oversees major campus events and student organizations.

Favorite Involvement Experience: Serving on Vanderbilt’s Alternative Spring Break Executive Board and witnessing students transform through service and reflection.

Fun Fact:  Sarah worked almost every summer with her Dad as a carpenter’s assistant. She has 10+ years of remodeling experience!

Alex Zernechel

Alex Zernechel
Program Manager for Greek Life

Alex oversees all programming and event planning for the university's Greek Life community. He advises the four Greek Life Councils (IFC, Panhel, NPHC, and MGC) with support from the Graduate Assistant. Alex supports UT's 30+ fraternities and sororities. He also advises two Greek honor societies (Order of Omega and Gamma Sigma Alpha) and the student Homecoming Committee.

Favorite Involvement Experience: Becoming a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and the opportunities it afforded me during my time as an undergraduate student and the opportunities since becoming an alumnus.

Fun Fact: Alex loves watching singing auditions on YouTube. Whether it is American Idol, The Voice, or Got Talent, he enjoys watching auditions from around the world.

caitlin spika

Caitlin Spika
Events Coordinator

Caitlin assists in the planning and coordination of a variety of student programs, events, and activities. She approves events in OrgSync, sets up pre-event meetings for student events, and coordinates the Student Involvement Fair. Caitlin also serves as the office manager and publicity coordinator for the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership. She directly supervises the student staff in the office and Resource Room.

B.A. Sport Management and Public Relations, Baldwin Wallace University

Favorite Involvement Experience: Joining Delta Upsilon chapter of Alpha Phi Fraternity at Baldwin Wallace University, 4 year varsity soccer athlete, member of the Student Athlete-Advisory Committee and Sports Management Club

Fun Fact: Caitlin was a three year varsity captain of her college soccer team and once met Taylor Swift

anthony strother

Anthony Strother
Graduate Assistant for Leadership

Anthony co-oversees the Levis Leadership UT program, a scholarship-based leadership program with a total of 123 students. He is a co-instructor for the first year leadership classes (COUN-3380 & COUN-3390) in the program and helps promote the program to incoming student leaders. Anthony also assists with the planning and implementation of various leadership events and programs, such as retreats, workshops, Leadership Conference, Leadership UT Graduation Banquet and Leadership UT Welcome Dinner.

Fun Fact: Anthony was awarded Greek Man of the Year for 2015-2016 at the University of Toledo, and he is currently receiving Chic Fil A for the year.

 Kelsey O'Brien

Kelsey O'Brien
Graduate Assistant for Student Involvement

Kelsey helps student organizations register through OrgSync, oversees the new student organization process, manages the student organization policies and procedures training, and manages the constitution revision process. Kelsey also co-advises Campus Activities & Programming and Homecoming Committee.  In addition, Kelsey oversees the Student Allocation Committee (SAC).

Favorite Involvement Experience: Being a member of the UT Cheerleading Team during her freshman year

Fun Fact: Alex was a National Gymnastics Champion.

John Fetchet

John helps coordinate the New Student Organizations Process. He supports student leaders through the process in order to set the organizations up for success. 

Hometown: Columbia Station, OH

B.B.A. Finance and Professional Sales (expected May 2018)
John is considering pursuing a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration.

Favorite Involvement Experience: Being able to participate in Songfest and growing relationships with all those that I performed with

Fun Fact: John has competed in regional tournaments for darts, ping pong, and fooseball.
