    Recreation Membership

    • Membership is nontransferable.
    • Membership is a privilege which may be modified or revoked for cause (see section on governance).
    • Purchase memberships in RC 2105.
    • Sales begin and memberships end on the dates advertised in the office and printed materials.
    • Annual memberships may only be purchased during the fall semester and are valid until the start of the next fall academic session.
    • Membership fees are not prorated. Late purchases are billed the full session charge. Short term pass plans are available.
    • No refund after 30 days from purchase.


    Students (General Fee bearing classes - GFB)

    • Enrolled 1 - 11 hours, eligible for 15 visits per semester, if more visits are desired, student must pay on a per use basis or pay the balance of the full RC fee at RC 2105 to attain full facility membership.
    • Concurrently enrolled students are eligible to purchase a guest pass.
    • Individuals completing thesis, dissertation, or co-op, are eligible to purchase a membership as a student with written UT documentation of status.
    • Stop-out’s may qualify to purchase a RC membership as Alumni, They must have accumulated the 24 semester or 36 quarter credit hours needed to qualify to join the Alumni Association previous to application for a RC membership.
    • Non-UT interns are eligible to purchase as a student membership with written UT documentation of status.

    Enrolled for 1-11 Hours

    For unlimited use, after 15 uses, a student must pay for a minimum of 12 total hours of RC fee. Upon buy-up, sponsorship options are the same as full time status.

    Subtract number of GFB hours enrolled from 12 and multiply remainder by hourly rate below, this equals the total owed for full use
    privilege. Rate Due per Semester Hour $7.81

    Summer - students who carried 12 or more GFB hours and, or who maintained full membership through the fall and spring semesters receive free summer membership.

    • Faculty and staff are eligible to participate in the intramural program with a current UT ID.
    • Faculty and staff may visit the SRC and/or bring guests by purchasing a guest pass with their ID and the $8.00 visitor fee; remember all guests must have a picture ID. A limit of two guests is allowed per day (in addition to the faculty/staff purchase for entry).
    • Full time employees may pay through a payroll deduction request if application is made within the payroll deduction date deadlines. Sorry, due to payroll policies, faculty Summer memberships may not be purchased using the payroll deduction plan.


    Alumni Membership Plans (includes one parking pass)

    • Picture/age ID and a current alumni association membership card must be shown during the registration for membership.
    • A membership card will be made during the registration process (we will take your photo).
    • Cost of membership will not be reduced if not accepting the parking pass.

    $35 –single annual / $600 life
    $25 - senior = age 65 single annual / $250 life
    $45 – couple annual / $900 life
    $35- senior couple = age 65 annual / $350 life

    Sponsored Membership Plans (includes one parking pass for adults)

    Individuals sponsored by a current student, a current RC member, or an enrolled RecFit participant.

    • Sponsoring member must accompany the person they are sponsoring during the membership registration process (new) or sign a sponsoring approval form in person at the RC office in advance of the individuals’ registration (renewals).
    • Sponsored members are eligible to sponsor day guests and or their own children under age 18 only.
    • Picture/age ID must be shown during the registration for membership.
    • A membership card will be made during the registration process (we will take your photo).
    • Cost of membership will not be reduced if not accepting the parking pass.

    Health Science Campus Faculty, Staff, and Students

    Students; Same as main campus students. Must present HS ID at time of entry or purchase a Rocket Card.

    • Purchase guest passes in RC 2105.
    • Current faculty and staff members may sponsor themselves for a guest pass.
    • All others must be sponsored by a current UT student or a current adult RC member.
    • Sponsor must be present for the purchase of the guest pass.
    • Guest passes are sold by calendar days, NOT by number of visits.
    • Parking is not included in the purchase of guest passes.
    • Adult guests must be at least 18 years of age and present picture/age identification at the time of purchase and upon entry to the facility.
    • Child/Youth guests (under 18) must have a parental signed waiver on file at the RC and must be accompanied by the sponsored adult at all times during every visit.
    • Child/Youth guest passes may only be used during Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays during fall/spring and any day during the summer.
    • Guest passes are nontransferable.
    • Guest limit is 2 guests per member or student per day.
