The Student Recreation Center offers a wide variety of programs for the development
of interpersonal skills. The program is conducted by trained facilitators and
supervised by professional staff. Program goals are achieved using a medium
of physical, functional, and cognitive recreational activities. The goal is
to build confidence in ones self and as a team.
Programs are custom designed for each groups specific needs and wants. Accommodations
are made for varied time allotments and any special needs of participants.
Groups will establish their own goals in advance. While teambuilding programs are typically 2-hours programs, shorter or longer durations can be accommodated.
Teambuilding programs will focus on one of the following formats:
The level of physical/cognitive involvement is determined by the goals and circumstances of the group. Programs can range from fully cognitive to fully physical and any mix in between.
Programs are conducted on property at UT’s Student Recreation Center, either indoors or outdoors. Our facility is fully equipped with enough room and different settings to accommodate all your program needs. Parts of the program may take place in a single environment or you can design your program to utilize some of our more exciting features. Your program may include the aquatics area or even on our indoor climbing wall.
When a program includes minors, at least one adult supervisor, representing the group, must be present throughout the program. One adult supervisor is required for every 10 minor participants.
Tobacco products, alcohol, drugs, gum, and food are prohibited during the program. Jewelry and hats must be removed during activities. Appropriate attire, which will be outlined in a confirmation letter, is required.
