The Office of Residence Life understands that situations outside of your control may arise during the course of your housing contract. If such a situation should occur, contact your hall director as soon as possible to begin the process of withdrawing from housing. You may be eligible for a partial refund of your housing fee.
Refund Schedule
- The $40 application fee that accompanies the housing and dining application is non-refundable.
- The $200 prepayment is refundable in full if a written contract cancellation is received by June 30, 2008.
- If the housing application/contract is canceled from July 1-31, 2008, $100 of the prepayment fee is refundable.
- If the housing application/contract is canceled from August 1-24, 2008, there is no refund of the $200 prepayment fee.
- On or after August 25, 2008, cancellation of the housing application/contract, failure to check in to the residential facility or being removed from housing for disciplinary reasons before the end of the contract term of May 8, 2009, a student is responsible for:
- 100% of room charges through the time of check-out or notification
of cancellation, plus,
- The loss of the $200 prepayment fee, and
- 75% of the remainder of the room contract cost through
