ResidenceLife@utoledo.eduEducation Living Learning Community
The Education Living Learning Community (ELLC) is designed for first-year, direct-from-high school or transfer students (age
20
or younger) majoring in any education field.
Living
The Education Living Learning Community is located in
Parks Tower, which houses only first-year students under the age of 21. Parks Tower offers residents an alcohol-free environment
with two-person
bedrooms and community bathrooms. This air-conditioned complex has in-hall dining which is open 24-hours a day. View a room layout.
Learning
Academics are the focus of the ELLC.
Residents live with students who take the same classes. Upper-class peer mentors from the Judith Herb College of Education,
Health Science & Human Service offer support to first-year residents. Programming is offered in conjunction with the college
and students have
numerous opportunities to interact with faculty and staff inside the residence hall. Additionally, residents have advising
hours and student
support office hours on their floor. Download an Academic Living Learning Community
brochure for additional information.
Community
Students living in the ELLC develop an academic-centered community with
floor programming and social events enhancing this focus. As a member of the floor, you will have the opportunity to live
with students taking
many of the same education classes and attending the same college functions.
Requires a $50 programming fee per semester.
