Purchasing a Domain Name

A Domain Name is the name you want users to type in to find your website, the name of your website perhaps. For this page the domain name is considered "utoledo.edu". In order to obtain a domain name you must pay a fee for the right to use that name, usually this fee is an annual fee. Paying for this domain name, is just that, a name. You still need a place to store all of your files and pages. This is when you have to find a web host, or server space.
