High School Outreach Initiatives
| The University of Toledo High School Outreach Initiatives Office works in collaboration
with area high schools to improve the academic preparation and “college readiness”
of students.
Working directly with high schools and college administrators and teachers, parents students and community leaders, the office will strive to identify needs and endeavor to meet those needs through targeted programs and services. Examples of initiatives include advising PSEOP students, teaming high school teachers with UT faculty for curriculum development, assessment of academic skills, intervention of strength skills, parent focus and work groups, tutoring and supplemental instruction, mentoring and academic focused campus visits and summer bridge programs. Students can gain college experience/credit while in high school in five different areas: Dual Enrollment: Students take college classes in their high school. Post Secondary Enrollment Option: High school students can participate in college-level classes on campus or online.
