Academic Skills Enhancement is a comprehensive program of assessment, advising, a well-developed curriculum, and support services designed to help students who need additional academic preparation prior to taking course work in their major field.
The following is a list of ASE courses offered. Students may be required to take some of these courses based upon the results of their placement tests and the specific requirements of the ASE program and/or their academic major.
Any UT academic adviser will be able to tell students which courses, if any, will be required and direct students to advisers in University College for further assistance.

The following developmental math courses, offered through the College of Arts and Sciences, may be required based upon students’ background and skills assessment scores. Grades for these courses do not apply to the student’s GPA. Nine hundred level courses will not count toward graduation.
