Virtual Construction Incubator

Summary:  The Capacity-building in Emerging Applied Building and Construction Technologies Program has created a multi-faceted Virtual Applied Technologies Incubator within it facilities.
The incubator is multi-faceted in nature through its various functions which includes:
applied research, computer laboratory, emerging technologies display gallery, skilled-trades workshop, prototype demonstrations laboratory, simulation studio, reference library and high-tech education and training classrooms.

The primary purpose of the incubator is to present and display very complex information about emerging technologies in ways that motivate, stimulate learning and application.

Details:

The Emerging Applied Building and Construction Technologies (EABCT) display gallery consists of five rooms which display actual working models of the technologies, tools, techniques, products and interactive demonstration kits illustrative of practical applications in the built environment.

In addition to being interactive from an educational and training perspective, it is also contextual and experimental in its approach to learning and capacity-building.

The EABCT display gallery is an educational interactive array of energy efficient, environmentally-friendly, sustainable and innovative technologies which can be applied in various building types within the built environments.
