Important Next Steps

MyUT Account - Be sure to set up your MyUT account as soon as possible. This is your personal UT portal that you will use to complete all of your important next steps, as well as set up your UT e-mail account. Be sure to start checking your e-mail often for important news from UT.

Schedule Rocket Transition - Once you have your MyUT account set up, you can begin your next steps. First up is completing an online orientation or selecting a face-to-face date. If you complete orientation online, you will need to schedule an advising appointment separately.

Transferring Credits/Advising - If you choose to complete orientation online, you will need to contact your admitted college to schedule an advising appointment. Your advisor will discuss transfer credits with you as well as help you schedule classes here at UT. Be sure to bring a copy of your transcripts with you from previous schools attended.

Virtual Tour - If you can't come visit right away, be sure to check out our virtual tour of both Main Campus and our Health Science Campus. This is a cool way to get connected to campus if you can't actually be here.

January 1st: FAFSA opens for 2013 - 2014 school year (be sure to send in your 2012 - 2013 FAFSA info to UT for a spring semester start)

January 7th: Spring Semester starts
