Undergraduate Transfer Student Scholarships and Awards
ADMISSION SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDSFor Undergraduate Transfer Students *Transfer students that apply for the Spring 2012 semester will be reviewed upon admission for the UT Achievement Award and the OOS Award.* Priority postmark deadline March 15, 2012 To be considered for Admission Scholarships and Awards, students must first be admitted to The University of Toledo. Once admitted, students are automatically considered for Admission Scholarships and Awards based on transfer GPA at time of admission (if applicable). No separate scholarship application is required. Undergraduates with baccalaureate degrees are not eligible to receive admission scholarships. |

Unless otherwise specified, to be considered for these scholarships and awards, you must submit the following:
• Completed and signed UT application for admission.
• $40 nonrefundable admission application fee Apply for admission online and send documents to: Office of Undergraduate Admission, Mail Stop 338, The University of Toledo, 2801 W. Bancroft St.,
Toledo, OH 43606.
• Official high school transcripts or official GED score (only required for transfer students currently enrolled in the first term at their first college/university)
• Official transcripts from ALL colleges/universities attended.
• Proof of Phi Theta Kappa or other honor society membership (if applicable).
• A completed FAFSA is required for all awards with the exception of the Out-of-State Award and the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.
• Apply online at FAFSA. Watch an online video that will walk you through filling out the FAFSA.

UT Achievement Award
- Award: Variable award amount ranging from $1,000 -$5,000 per year for full-time enrollment. Your award may vary based on merit.
- Minimum Requirements: 3.0 transfer GPA.
- Renewal Requirements: Minimum 3.0 GPA and 30 UT credit hours combined fall and spring semesters. In most instances, the maximum length for this award is four consecutive semesters, not to exceed two consecutive calendar years or completion of an undergraduate degree, which ever comes first.
Note: This award is not stackable with the Out-of-State Award or the Prestige Transfer Scholarship.
Out-of-State Award
- Award: Amount equivalent to the fall/spring terms’ full-time, undergraduate out-of-state tuition.
- Minimum Requirements: Minimum transfer GPA of 2.75.
- Renewal Requirements: Minimum 2.75 GPA and 30 UT credit hours combined fall and spring semesters. In most instances, the maximum length for this award is four consecutive semesters, not to exceed two consecutive calendar years or completion of an undergraduate degree, whichever comes first.
Note: This award is not stackable with the UT Achievement Award or the Prestige Transfer Scholarship.
Prestige Transfer Scholarship
- Award: Six, full-tuition scholarships are awarded each fall term for full-time enrollment. This selective award will be given to top students transferring to UT based on transfer GPA, curriculum, and financial need. Preference is given to honor society members. Funding for this scholarship is limited, competitive, and selective. To be considered for this scholarship, your UT application and FAFSA must be received by May 15, 2012.
- Minimum Requirements: 3.5 transfer GPA; 30 or more semester hours of transfer credit; transferring from a two year or four year institution.
- Additional Documentation Required: The FAFSA is required for consideration. Proof of honor society membership (if applicable).
- Renewal Requirements: Minimum 3.0 GPA and 30 UT credit hours combined fall and spring semesters. In most instances, the maximum length for this award is four semesters, not to exceed two consecutive calendar years or completion of an undergraduate degree, whichever comes first.
Note: This award is not stackable with the Out-of-State Award, the UT Achievement Award or the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
- Award: $1,000 per year, for full-time enrollment.
- Minimum Requirements: 3.75 transfer GPA from the institution of Phi Theta Kappa induction; Phi Theta
- Kappa membership.
- Additional Documentation Required: Proof of Phi Theta Kappa membership.
- Renewal Requirements: Minimum 3.0 GPA and 30 UT credit hours each academic year. In most instances, the maximum length for this award is four semesters, not to exceed two consecutive calendar years or completion of an undergraduate degree, whichever comes first.
Note: This award may be given in addition to the Out-of-State Award or the UT Achievement Award.
