Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC)

Writing Across the Curriculum is an approach that integrates writing into many courses outside the standard ones of English composition. Most departments at the College of Arts and Sciences offer writing intensive courses, and undergraduates are required to take a minimum of two in order to graduate. The program is supervised by the Arts and Sciences Council through its WAC Committee. Although it works closely with the Composition Program and the Writing Center, it has its own locus. These pages are primarily for faculty who want to learn more and to apply to have a course approved.
