The Edward H. Schmidt School of Professional Sales (ESSPS) at the University of Toledo hosts a number of annual outreach events throughout the academic year that are designed to engage with our business community for talent recruitment, strategic alignment, and sales force development.

Recruiting

Speed Recruiting – October 16th, 2009

Recruiters determine which students they meet with by having everyone (recruiters and students) fill out online profiles in advance and then having a system scan them for similarities to create a “love connection” that will be used to determine everyone's schedule.  Students will be changing seats every 7.5 minutes to meet with new recruiters.

Networking Night – March 23rd, 2010

Business professional networking in the evening between professional sales students and recruiters.  Sit down, enjoy appetizers, and have real career conversations with our students.

Executive Sales Summit – November 20th, 2009

Meet sales leaders who share a kinship and passion for sales. Learn from sharing challenges and best practices at this interactive half day summit that includes keynotes and panel discussions.  For sales executives only and by invitation. 

The 6th Annual Executive Sales Summit will be on Breaking Through in a Challenged Economy.  Carl Hedlund, former President and CEO of ThermaTru will keynote and will be joined by executive panelists, Scott Buehrer - Vice President of Sales Bionix, Steve Weathers - President and CEO Regional Growth Partnership, and Milt Baker - CEO and co-founder Blue Water Satellite Inc.  Information Flyer

The Executive Sales Summit is part of the Survival of the Fittest Series.  The Marketing Advisory Board is hosting a conference on Internet Marketing: Applications, Opportunities, and Challenges for Toledo-Area Businesses.

Sales Symposium – May 14th, 2010...on hold...sales certificate program (representative and leadership level) under development

One day workshop led by well known sales experts to help strengthen the skills of your sales force.  Held every other year.
