The International Business Institute (IBI) is dedicated to strengthening the global competitiveness of firms in the Great
Lakes region through development of an internationally experienced workforce. The IBI works with companies to evaluate
their global competitiveness and implement international thinking into the organization. The IBI also strives to
attract foreign companies to invest in the region in order to boost the Great Lakes economy, specifically in Northwest Ohio
and Southeast Michigan. The following is a highlight of IBI objectives: |

Traditionally, the IBI has been supported by federal and state grants along with foundation and corporate endowments and generous support from alumni. To-date funding has been received from the U.S. Department of Education, the Cleveland Foundation, the National Endowment for Humanities, Owens'Illinois, and, most recently, the State of Ohio. Total Funding (to-date) - more than $1.5 Million. |
