Dr. Linda Bowyer
Linda Elizabeth Bowyer is currently an associate professor of finance at the University of Toledo. Prior to joining UT, she served on the faculty of the University of Missouri-Kansas City and the University of Cincinnati. She received her Ph.D. in Economics in 1981 from Iowa State University, with fields in Monetary Theory, Industrial Organization and Engineering Valuation. Dr. Bowyer's teaching areas include investments and financial markets/institutions. She is a frequent seminar speaker in training programs for bank directors, officers and regulators. She is active in the local community, having served as an officer in the Financial Analysts Society of Toledo and as a board member for the Womens Entrepreneurial Network. She is also currently the Director of the Women’s Entrepreneurial Network Training Center. From 1997 to 2003, Dr. Bowyer served as director of the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Institute at UT, which provides training programs and support for small business owners in Northwest Ohio.
