The 2012-2013 College of Adult and Lifelong Learning (CALL) Scholarship Applications
are available at the following locations:

Application deadline is March 15, 2012
Note: All need-based scholarships require that a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) be on file by March 15. Students may complete the FAFSA on the web at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov or students may contact the Office of Student Aid at 419.530.8700. The University of Toledo school code for completing the
FAFSA is 003131.
Information provided on each scholarship is subject to change. Scholarships and awards are dependent upon funding availability.

SCHOLARSHIPS BELOW ARE FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING DEGREE PROGRAMS:
- Adult Liberal Studies
- Individualized Degree Program
Ralph C. and Joanne L. Cline Scholarship
The applicant must be 30 years or older who is enrolled in a CALL degree program. Preference will be given to women who are
starting a new career or a business. Prior recipients must reapply to be considered for renewal of the award.
Dean Mary Ann Heinrichs Alumni Scholarship
The applicant must be enrolled in CALL and have an approved program of study to be considered. Selection will be based on
superior academic achievement. Prior recipients must reapply to be considered for renewal of the award.
Dr. Patricia J. Metting Scholarship
The applicant shall be enrolled in a CALL degree program as a full-time or part-time student at the junior or senior level.
The recipient shall demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum 3.0 GPA, as well as evidence of leadership ability and
a commitment to service on campus or in the community. Prior recipients must reapply to be considered for renewal of the award.
Elaine and Amos Patterson Scholarship
The applicant must be a female 25 years or older who is enrolled in a CALL degree program with a minimum GPA of 2.0. The student
must demonstrate academic intent and potential for degree success. Preference will be given to the applicant with the greatest
financial need. A student can only receive this scholarship twice, and prior recipients must reapply to be considered for
renewal.
Edith Rathbun Scholarship
The applicant must be a female 25 years or older who is enrolled in a CALL degree program as a part- or full-time student.
Financial need must be verified. Prior recipients must reapply to be considered for renewal of the award.
William and Jean Vaughan Scholarship
The applicant will be an incoming CALL student or one who is currently enrolled in an approved program of study. Applicants
must demonstrate financial need and a determination to obtain a college degree. The award is not renewable.
Women’s Advertising Club of Toledo Scholarship
The applicant must be a female who is enrolled in a CALL program, with a degree focus on outreach through advertising, public
relations, marketing,broadcasting and/or interpersonal communication. Preference will be given to ascending juniors and seniors.
The applicant must be a permanent resident of the Greater Toledo area.
Nancy Walbridge Brown and Ruel Brown Jr. Scholarship Fund

Recipients shall be U.S. citizens who are second, third, or fourth-year undergraduate students. Preference will be given to
students in the College of Arts and Sciences, CALL, and the College of Business Administration. Students must have and maintain
a GPA of 3.0 or higher and may be part-time or full-time. Applicants must submit one typed letter of recommendation. Applicants
are encouraged to submit up to two additional letters of recommendation addressing either personal or academic abilities.
Application deadline is April 1.

Toledo Community Foundation's Walter R. Bollinger and Norman J. Szymanski Scholarship Fund - One $500.00 scholarship for a resident of Lucas County who is an adult student pursuing a certificate (occupational career or a technical oriented educational training program), associate's or bachelor's degree. Chris A. Henderson Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship you must be an incoming or readmit undergraduate student at The University of Toledo,
a resident of Ohio or Monroe County, MI who has earned college/university credit with a minimum 2.5 Higher Ed GPA, AND has
not attended a college or university for a minimum of two years. Applicants must enroll for a minimum of six credit hours
per semester. This scholarship is one-time, non-renewable. Undergraduate students with a bachelor’s degree are not eligible.
Adult Learner Access Award offers a financial award for $500 for an eligible student’s first semester at UT.
Award Criteria:
- A financial award of$500 for an eligible student’s first semester at UT
For the purpose of this award, summer semester will not count as a first semester. - Award is dependent upon funding availability.
- Applied for undergraduate courses only.
- Applications must be submitted by: Spring 2012 semester deadline: January 6, 2012
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Must meet one of the following criteria:
- 25 years of age or older
- veteran or currently serving in the military
- has not attended a college or university for a minimum of two years
- has been out of high school for at least two years and never attended college
2. Must meet the admission requirements of The University of Toledo.
3. University employees are not eligible for this award.
4. Must be enrolled for a minimum of 3 credit hours.
Students enrolled in the College of Adult and Lifelong Learning are eligible for a second semester award.
Students must re-apply and have earned a 2.5 GPA for the first award semester.
