Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women

The Toledo Branch of the American Association of University Women

The Toledo Branch of the American Association of University Women believes strongly in the goals of the Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women at the University of Toledo. AAUW has a mission statement that indicates that our members promote equity for all women and girls, life-long education, and positive societal change. In principle and in practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. We believe that there should be no barriers to full participation in our organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability. Because of our mission statement, we thus have joined with others to support the activities of the Eberly Center for Women. We continue our Leaders in Residence program by having members at the Center each week during the UT school year in order to answer the questions of students as they seek to develop their skills for future growth.

Ruth Alteneder, President of Toledo Branch 2005-2006.
