The University of Toledo

 The Sculpture Program seeks to prepare majors in Studio Fine Arts, Art Education and Art History with a basic understanding of concepts involving three-dimensional art and to expose them to the physical processes necessary to realize their expression in form and space; to give fine arts majors an understanding of fundamental concepts and processes related to sculpture making and the relationship this discipline has to their chosen area of concentration; to give the Bachelor of Fine Arts candidate in sculpture the opportunity to discover both themselves and their world through a commitment to sculpture making as a means of expression and to provide them with the skills necessary to pursue the advanced degree of Master of Fine Arts.

The Sculpture curriculum attempts to address a comprehensive body of processes, physical and conceptual, while using the available collection of The Toledo Museum of Art as a primary source of information to augment their needs.
