Welcome to the University of Toledo Department of Music space reservation page. This
is the place for information on reserving a space for concerts, recitals and other
Music Department events. This is NOT the place to rent Savage Arena or the Student
Union Auditorium for large scale concerts and events. For more information on renting

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT IS AVAILABLE AND WHEN?
There are two places to check and both of them are available online! The two links below will help you see if the space you are interested in is available. The first shows non-regularly scheduled events such as concerts and recitals. The other is a PDF that shows the classes and rehearsals that are regularly scheduled in each space. Some activities may be listed in both places, others may not be. PLEASE CHECK BOTH before making your reservation request.

Exception: Conference Room PA1004 - This is one of those spaces that may need to be reserved on short notice. To reserve this space visit the Music Department Office or call 419-530-2448 and check its availability.
WHO CAN RESERVE THESE SPACES?
In general, Music Department spaces are available only to department faculty and students. However, there are exceptions to this rule if space and time permits. Please contact the Music Department Interim Chair, Dr. Jason Stumbo for more information if you are not with the Music Department but would like to use one of our spaces. You may also call the Music Department main office at 419.530.2448.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MUSIC FACULTY
All space reservations are tentative pending approval by Dr. Michael Boyd. Please click the link below to download the form and reserve your space. Save the form to your computer or storage device, complete it and email it to Michael.Boyd@utoledo.edu and to Angela.Riddel@utoledo.edu. It must be emailed at least one month prior to the date requested.
IMPORTANT TIP FOR SAVING YOUR FORM! Having trouble saving the form with your info? Complete the form, then choose "Print." Under your printer choices, choose "Save as a PDF" or "PDF Writer" instead of whatever printers you have. Keep in mind, you may not be able to make additional changes to your saved form once you save it. But at least you'll have a saved copy which you can email.
Music FACULTY - Space Reservation Form
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MUSIC STUDENTS
If you are a Department of Music performance major, you are required to prepare and present recitals as part of your degree program. Prior to your recital, you must hold and pass a hearing with your faculty. The hearing ensures that you are prepared to perform your chosen music, and that your recital program contains the music necessary to satisfy your degree requirements, that correct translations have been provided (if necessary), and that the recital program is of sufficient length. Complete instructions are available in the Student Handbook. Below are two forms you will need.
Recital Space Reservation Form - Music STUDENTS
This is the form to use to request a date for your RECITAL. Even though you may not
have yet had your hearing, you should fill this form out in anticipation of passing
the hearing. All recital reservation dates are tentative, pending the passage of the
hearing. Nonetheless, you should still request a recital date. Please click the link
above to download the form. Save it to your computer or storage device, complete it,
and email it to Michael.Boyd@utoledo.edu and to Angela.Riddel@utoledo.edu. YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE THIS FORM SIGNED BEFORE EMAILING TO MICHAEL BOYD AND ANGELA
RIDDEL. However, you should be in touch with your faculty member about choosing an
appropriate date to request for your recital. You should also print a copy of this
form and and take it with you to your hearing. If you pass your hearing and your recital
date is approved THEN your form will be signed by the faculty.
This is the form to use to request a date for your HEARING and to track your progress through the hearing. Please click the link above to download the form. Save it to your computer or storage device, complete the top part of the form, print it and take it with you to your faculty member, who will help you schedule your hearing. You will also need to bring it with you to your hearing.
