UT Works Tuition Fee Waiver Extension
UTWorks participants are eligible for an extension of their tuition fee waiver. The
tuition fee waiver will be extended for one
semester following the reduction in workforce. If the employee was not taking classes
at the time of the reduction in workforce they will
still be eligible to take classes during the extension period. The Tuition Fee Waiver Extension is only for use by the employee.
Spouses, Domestic Partners, and Dependents are not eligible.
Example: If an employee receives a layoff notice anytime
during the Fall 2009 semester they will be granted a tuition fee waiver extension for
classes through Spring 2010.

Instructions
Please make sure a new Tuition Waiver form is completed every semester, per person. Forms can be sent to Human Resources at MS 205 or by fax to 419.530.1492.
Tuition Waivers must be received by the HR Office on or before the last day of the current semester in which the application is for. HR will not process retroactive applications for previous semesters.
Full Time Employee:
-
- Up to 8 credit hours of tuition per semester, general fee, one time application fee & new student fee.
- Eligible for payment of undergraduate or graduate level course work.
Note: CWA, UTPPA, AFSCME and AAUP employees should refer to appropriate collective bargaining agreement regarding this benefit.
Part Time Employee (at least 1/2 time):
-
- Paid based on FTE, payment pro-rated for up to 8 credit hours of tuition , general
fee, one time application fee & new
student registration fee.

- e.g.: .5 FTE = 50% payment, 8 hrs. registered x .5 = 4 hrs paid

- Eligible for payment of undergraduate or graduate level course work.
- Paid based on FTE, payment pro-rated for up to 8 credit hours of tuition , general
fee, one time application fee & new
student registration fee.
