Supplier Diversity Program
As part of the University’s commitment to support minority and small business enterprises, the University Purchasing Office in collaboration with the Office of Equity, Diversity & Community Engagement has established a Supplier Diversity Program. The purpose of the program is to ensure that suppliers who are State of Ohio certified as a MBE (minority business enterprise) or EDGE (encouraging diversity, growth and equity) are given opportunities for goods, service and construction contracts with the University.
The University is committed to the inclusion of minority businesses as an integral part of its supply chain management efforts. Purchasing consistently is searching for suppliers that offer competitive prices and quality items and services that meet the needs of our campus community. Through our Supplier Diversity program, the University recognizes its responsibility to the communities we serve, and the society in which we conduct our business. The inclusion of minority suppliers is a function of our normal purchasing and supply chain management process. No potential supplier will be precluded from consideration based on race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin.
