To meet the demand for bachelor-prepared nurses in the rural areas, Lima's AHEC in cooperation with UT provides an R.N.-to-B.S.N. upgrade program. This program works in cooperation with the Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo nursing programs and offers classes in rural communities. Through this partnership, rural area nurses earn undergraduate degrees without driving to a metropolitan campus.
