The Department of Applied Organizational Technology offers an associate degree in Programming and Software Development that is designed to prepare students for work in the computer industry as programmers, software developers, data managers, and information designers.
The employment opportunities in this area are very strong and will continue to grow. Students learn the newest programming languages and computer science techniques and relate them to business and Web applications. Students will work with computer equipment typical of that used by most employers in a hands-on environment.
All courses for this degree can be taken either via the Internet or on-campus. The online degree is the same as the on-campus version. Upon completion of this 2-year degree, students may choose to apply the completed courses toward a bachelor’s degree program.
