Elder Law Graduate Certificate Online

The On-Line Graduate Certificate in Elder Law is designed for students interested in gaining specialized knowledge on elder health law and ethical issues. The certificate will assist persons working in nursing, gerontology, social work, psychology, paralegal, or related health and human services fields, in enhancing their credentials. The totally on-line nature of this new certificate program is a perfect fit for those with an active life, and for those who find it difficult to take traditional, on-campus graduate courses. This unique program consists of five courses which can be completed via distance learning in only two semesters as follows:

The application deadline is April 1 for summer admission. Students are not required to have taken the GMAT in order to be admitted to the program. To be considered for admission into the program, a candidate must:
Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum 3.0 undergraduate grade point average. Official transcripts are required.
- Submit two letters of recommendation; and
- Submit a completed online application and pay the accompanying application fee: http://apply.utoledo.edu/
Students who are currently enrolled in a graduate program at The University of Toledo may apply for entrance to the On-Line Learning Graduate Certificate program by submitting an online application form and two letters of recommendation. The student must be in good standing in his or her current degree program.
The new On-Line Certificate in Elder Law is offered by the College of Health Science and Human Service in cooperation with The Center for Successful Aging in UT's College of Medicine.
