Before You Begin Your Course: Students are responsible to have access to a properly functioning computer throughout the semester. The computer must be able to run the software listed in the software section below or capable of connecting to UT's Virtual Computer Lab. If using a computer at a public library, students should check with the library to insure they will have access and for the length of time required. UT's Virtual Computer Lab (VLab) is accessable from your computer and may have all the software you need, read more about VLab; most on-campus computer labs are also capable of accommodating online courses but students should check specific lab information with the IT Helpdesk (419-530-2400). Some courses still require specific software that students may have to purchase. Internet Service Students must have an Internet Service Provider. Students are responsible for purchasing, installing and maintaining all computer hardware and software needed for their participation in online courses.
