What is Tech Prep?

College Tech Prep is a connected, rigorous sequence of courses that leads to a post secondary degree and new economy employment and is a federally funded, national education reform that engages educators, employers and community members to serve students while meeting the increasing demand for a technology skilled workforce.

Simply put, College Tech Prep is about:

o College prep academics with technology career education
o Seamless pathways from high school to college to high skill careers
o Business, education and community partnerships to expand student options
o Education connected to economic development

The Ohio Tech Prep is dedicated to providing the best education possible for students and is one of the best Tech Prep programs in the nation.

Many of today's most exciting job opportunities relate to technology and Tech Prep provides an educational experience in which students develop the skills and knowledge to obtain and excel in numerous technology careers. There are over 16,000 students in almost 700 High School Tech Prep programs across the State of Ohio. Moreover, two-thirds of high School College Tech Prep graduates enroll in post-secondary education within a year of graduation.
