Bradene L. Moore, Esq., graduated with honors from Michigan State University in 1982. She attended the
University of Toledo College of Law, serving on the law review editorial board. She
received her Juris Doctor in 1985, and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. After
graduation, she became an associate attorney with a large law firm in Detroit, Michigan.
She left the firm to become the law clerk for the Honorable Walter J. Krasniewski,
United States Bankruptcy Judge in Toledo, Ohio. Associate Professor Moore began teaching
part-time in the program in 1990. She was hired on a full-time basis in 1993. She
has taught Debtor-Creditor Relations, Legal Research, Introduction to Law, Law Office
Management and Litigation Support.

Kathleen Mercer Reed, Esq., Chair of the Undergraduate Degree Specialties Department and Director of Paralegal
Studies. She is a graduate of The University of Toledo, holding a Bachelor's of Science,
and an Associate Degree in Legal Assisting. She received her Juris Doctor from the
University of Toledo College of Law in May of 1993, and a member of the State Bar
of Ohio. Her legal experience includes employment with Hallett & Hallett Law Offices
of Wauseon, Ohio; with The Honorable Richard L. Speer, United States Bankruptcy Judge
in Toledo, Ohio; and with the law firm of Nathan & Roberts in Toledo, Ohio. Since
1987, she has taught in such areas as Legal Research, Torts, Civil Procedure Introduction
to Law, and Law Office Management.

Michael J. Spiros, Esq., is a graduate of The University of Toledo (B.B.A., 1969, J.D., 1972). He has been
involved as a private practitioner with the law firm of Spiros and Stewart of Lambertville,
Michigan, a for 22 years. His firm is a general private practice of law with an emphasis
on probate and real estate cases. Since 1982, Associate Professor Spiros has taught
courses such as Introduction to Legal Assisting, Advanced Legal Research, Introduction
to Law and Family Law. Professor Spiros has overseen the installation of a computer
network in his own practice, developed a case management software package and conducted
several seminars dealing with pre-packaged law office software.

Carol Wood Linker, Esq., is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University (B.B.A., 1977) and the University of
Toledo (J.D., 1979). She has also completed all her course work toward a Ph.D. in
Higher Education Administration at the University of Toledo. She has been an attorney
for the Lucas and Wood Counties Public Defender's Offices. While practicing law as
a public defender she was also in private practice with James Atkinson and Associates.
In 1982, she left the above practices to join Lourdes College in Sylvania, Ohio, as
the chair of the Business Administration Department. In 1987, she joined the University
of Toledo as an Associate Dean for Administration until 1997 when she joined the faculty
of the University of Toledo's Legal Assisting Department. Associate Professor Linker
has been associated with the following organizations: the City of Toledo Citizens
Dispute Program as a mediator, the City of Toledo Board of Zoning Appeals, the City
of Luna Pier, Planning Commission Member, a Lucas County Private Industry Council
Board Member and presently an Executive Committee Board Member of Junior Achievement
of Northwest Ohio.

John J. Schlageter, III, Esq., Associate Lecturer, is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati (BA) and the University
of Toledo, College of Law (JD). After earning his degree in law, John was admitted
to the Ohio and Michigan Bars, as well as the United States District Court, Northern
District of Ohio and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.
John joined the law firm of Shindler, Neff, Holmes, Schlageter & Mohler, LLP in 1998
and his main areas of practice include corporate, estate planning, personal injury,
litigation, employment, and domestic relations law. John is a member of the Toledo
Bar Association, the Michigan State Bar Association and the Michigan Trial Lawyers’
Association. John began teaching in UT’s Paralegal Studies Program in 1998 and has
taught a variety of classes including Litigation, Business Associations, Contracts,
Law Practice Management, Civil Procedure, Introduction to Law and Trial Practice.
He has also served as an assistant coach for the University of Toledo Mock Trial Team.

Ian Bradford English, Esq., was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He lives in Toledo with his wife, Vallie and
their son. Ian is a graduate of the former Macomber-Whitney High School. He received
an Associates Degree in Applied Science majoring in Legal Assisting in 1993 and a
Bachelors Degree in Arts, Honors in Interdisciplinary Studies, from The University
of Toledo in 1997. Ian received his Doctorate of jurisprudence from The University
of Toledo, College of Law in 2000. While in college, Ian worked as a bailiff for
the Honorable Stephen A. Yarbrough and the Honorable James D. Jensen. After graduation
from law school, Ian joined the law firm of Calamunci, Groth, Joelson & Manore, practicing
in the areas of criminal law, trademark, patent & cyber law. In September of 2001,
he joined the Lucas County Prosecutor's Office. Since his appointment to the Prosecutor's
Office, he has worked as an Assistant Lucas County Prosecutor under the leadership
of Julia R. Bates. During his employment, Ian has been responsible for the convictions
of many offenders charged with crimes such as aggravated murder, aggravated burglary,
rape, felonious assault, drug possession and trafficking, forgery, escape, and grand
theft.

Alan D. Mutchler, Esq., is a graduate of Oakland University (BA) and The University of Toledo (JD). He was
an attorney with the Toledo Legal Aid Society for sixteen years during which time
he supervised legal interns from The University of Toledo, College of Law and was
Managing Attorney of the Civil Division. The Ohio Supreme Court selected him to serve
on the Ohio Supreme Court Committee on Child Support Enforcement, to establish child
support guidelines. These recommendations have since been adopted and are now part
of the Ohio Revised Code. In 1995, he was appointed Magistrate of the Lucas County
Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations Division. He has presented to local and
state bar associations, state colleges and university (including Medical College of
Ohio), professional associations, and the American Association for Paralegal Education.
Magistrate Mutchler has served as an editorial consultant for legal textbooks. He
began teaching in UT's Paralegal Studies Program in 1982. He has taught a variety
of courses, including Administrative Law, Family Law, Introduction to Law, Alternative
Dispute Resolution, and Clinic Experience

Nicole Spiros Tuori, Esq., received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in 1996 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence
from The University of Toledo, College of Law in 1999. She has been an associate with
the law firm of Spiros and Stewart of Lambertville, Michigan for 6 years where she
litigates cases in domestic relations, criminal law, banking and juvenile law. Since
becoming a part-time professor in 2004, Nicole has taught courses in Real Estate Transactions,
Torts, Administrative Law and Contracts.

Michael G. Witko, Esq., became a part-time faculty member of the Undergraduate Legal Specialties Department
in the Fall of 2003. He received his JD degree from The University of Toledo, College
of Law in December of 1982. Michael was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1983 and after
15 years of private practice with a major focus on family law, became an Administrative
Hearing Officer with the Lucas County Child Support Enforcement Agency in 1998. He
is a life long resident of the City of Toledo, and has two daughters Andrea, who attends
BGSU and Amy now a student at UT.

Michael E. Hyrne, Esq., graduated from The University of Toledo, with honors in 1976 (BA) and The University
of Toledo, College of Law, with honors in 1980 (JD). He served as Law Clerk to United
States District Court Magistrate James G. Carr from 1980-1981. He joined the law firm
of Doyle, Lewis and Warner, where he practiced law as an associate attorney from 1981-1988,
and as a partner until 2003. His practice centered on insurance, product liability,
and personal injury law. He is admitted to practice in Ohio, U.S. District Court,
Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme
Court. In 2003 he was appointed Curt Mediator for the Wood and Hancock County Common
Pleas Courts. In this position he conducts mediations in: medical and professional
liability; construction; product liability; personal injury; employment; worker's
compensation; real estate; appropriations; domestic relations; probate; and juvenile
court matters. He has also conducted governmental and public office mediations by
appointment of the Ohio Supreme Court. He is a member of the Association for Conflict
Resolution, Ohio Mediation Association and Mediation Association of Northwest Ohio.
He has presented to local and regional bar associations, professional groups, the
Paralegal Association of Northwest Ohio and the American Association for Paralegal
Education. He began teaching in UT's Paralegal Studies Program in 1983. He has taught
Civil Procedure, Tort Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He has also served
as an assistant coach for The University of Toledo Mock Trial Team.
