Space Planning
Overview
Space Planning is responsible for planning and programming the University's space - to ensure the strategic use of existing facilities and to guide the development of new facilities.
The office is responsible for space management - which includes coordinating the space allocation process, analyzing space utilization, and master planning.
Westaff the University's Facilities & Construction Planning Forum. We are also one of the University's liaisons to the Ohio Board of Regents, reporting on the University's facilities.
Facilities Information Systems (which is responsible for maintaining the University's campus maps, building floor plans, and space inventory), Interior Design (which is responsible for developing university-wide interior design standards and implementing them to create a strong and unified image) and the UT Sign Shop (which is the source for certain types of official signage) are part of Space Planning. The Space Planning mission is to provide facilities information, space management services, space planning, and interior design -- enabling the University to make the best decisions about existing and new facilities, in furtherance of its mission and strategic plan.
